Last Chance PR Distance Carnival
On Friday, April 29, 2016, Valley View and Ramona High Schools will be hosting the 7th Annual
Last Chance PR Distance Carnival at Ramona High school in Riverside. The meet will be held
under the lights and with many of our runners not having the chance to compete in League Finals
or CIF it will be their last chance to set a new personal record this season. The first event will start
at 6:00 pm and we will try keep the meet running as fast as possible.
Since there has been a large amount of cutbacks in the amount of league meet participants and
we have a great number of distance runners on many teams in the Southern Section, we want to
provide runners of all skill levels the opportunity to compete on the last weekend of the season.
We will have four (4) High School athlete divisions: Frosh/Soph Girls, Frosh/Soph Boys, Varsity
Girls and Varsity Boys. There will be unlimited entries in each division for the High School 800m,
1600m, 3200m, and 4x800m co-ed relay and one entry for each level of the distance 4X400
relay.
Awards:
I get upset with many meets that have 40 distance runners and
only give out 3 medals, so we fill that should be changed.
Medals to the top 10 finishers in each individual race
Medals to top 4 teams in the relays.
Special award to the boy and girl runner that breaks their PR by
the most.
Spectator Fee:
$5 General admission
$3 Student With ASB Card
Free 5 years old and under
Entry Fee:
High School entry fee is $130 per team ($40 per division), or 5$ per individual. Please make
checks payable to Valley View High School Track & Field. The checks can be hand delivered on
the day of the meet, or mailed early to:

A "race schedule" has been posted below for everyone's convenience, but the schedule might
vary. To keep the meet running efficiently, it could become necessary to add additional heats, or
combine some races or relays. An announcement will be made prior to the event if that should
occur. We'll try to stay as close to the race schedule as possible. Please be on time because if
we can hurry the meet along and leave early than we will.
