Maine Track & Cross Country Coaches Association 2017 All-State Cross Country Team

In Class C, Orono took both team Championships. Lincoln Academy dominated the Class B Boys field, while Yarmouth grabbed the girls title. Camden Hills used its depth to claim the girls Class A title while Falmouth took the boys A Championship.

The Class B State XC Championship will feature some of the top athletes and teams in state. Check out our individual & team preview 

The postseason is officially here! The Northern and Southern Regional championships went off on Saturday. The North headed to Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, while the South went to the Twinbrook Recreational area in Cumberland. Both regions produced close finishes and great individual performances. Let's take a look at the highlights.

Southern Maine Class B Regional XC Championship Preview

Conference championships around the state highlighted the weekend in Maine XC. We had several of the top teams in the state battle it out at the KVAC Championships, while some of the top runners rested for the WMC Championships. A course record went down in the PVC and there were dominant team finishes in the MVC. Let's take a look at the highlights.

Lily Horne of Freeport & Mitch Libby of Wells ran to individual WMC titles in D1, while Freeport Boys take top team spot in D1, with Wells winning D2. On the girls side Cape Elizabeth won D1 title, with Maine Coast Waldorf tops in D2

The WMC Championships are set to go off Friday afternoon at St. Joseph's College in Standish. The Yorkgirls' won the Division 1 title last year, while Falmouth, who is no longer in the conference, took the boys' title. In Division 2, the St. Dominic girls' and Wells boys' were winners. 

Another weekend is in the books for Maine XC. Relays and invitationals brought together some of the top teams and athletes in the Northern region, while inter-conference battles in the Southern region produced fast times and impressive team results. Let's take a look at the highlights.

While out-of-state teams took both the boys' and girls' races at the Festival of Champions, there was still much to be celebrated for Maine teams and athletes.

This weekend in Maine XC featured two of the top girls' teams in Class A squaring off in Falmouth and two of the top male runners in Class A North facing off for the second time and three weeks.

As part of our 2017 XC preview we will spotlight each of the fastest returners based on 5k times from a year ago as part of our "Watch list". Today's spotlight is on Mitch Libby of Wells HS.

Thirty-two runners, including six returners, are set for the second running of the B2B High School Mile.
