California Girls Cross Country Performer of the Week (Aug. 31-Sep. 6)

This Week's Nominees:

Katelyn Elliott, Carlmont (CC) (California): A field of 136 gathered for the Girls Varsity Large School Cool Breeze Invitational 3-mile race, and she crossed first in 17:30.20, holding off the runner-up by 17.2 seconds. The clocking places her No. 21 of 1,433 athletes in MileSplit's database at Galway Downs since 2019.

Isabella Vazquez, El Diamante (CS) (California): She covered 3 miles in 17:26.00 to win the Jim White McFarland USA Invite outright, separating from the 86-runner field by 22.9 seconds. It stands as the fastest time in MileSplit's database at McFarland HS since 2019, a span covering 210 athletes.

Melia Outman, Santa Fe Christian (SD) (California): Winning the Junior Girls' CCA Ravens XC Invitational, sponsored by Fleet Feet SD, in 18:39.10 for the 3-mile distance, she topped an 88-runner field by 26.7 seconds. The time also marks a 147.0-second improvement over her prior mark on this course.

Lesley Ledesma, Esperanza (SS) (California): A 19:16.30 clocking over 3 miles was enough to win the Pat Hadley Memorial Invitational by 12.6 seconds among 95 finishers. That effort ranks No. 4 of 544 athletes in MileSplit's database at Craig Regional Park since 2022.

Grace Keefe, Cathedral Catholic (SD) (California): Just 0.4 seconds separated first from second at the CCA Ravens XC Invitational Sponsored by Fleet Feet SD, where she crossed in 16:51.90 for the 3 Mile race to lead a field of 91. The time is 79.7 seconds faster than her prior mark on this course and ranks No. 4 of 1,554 athletes in MileSplit's database at Canyon Crest Academy since 2019.
