Claremont Girls' Take D1 4x1600m Relay

All three divisions competed in the same heat Saturday at the Ontario Relays, but Claremont rose above the field.

The Claremont girls, anchored by Isla Bulmer, claimed the Division 1 title at the Ontario Relays on Saturday, stopping the clock at 21:51.23. Los Osos followed as the runner-up in 23:05.03, while Rancho Cucamonga placed third.

In their post-race interview, the Los Osos girls shared that heading into the 2026 outdoor season, their focus is on growing together as a unit. Especially with the addition of Danielle Blauser to their 4x1600m squad.

In Division 2, Burroughs Ridgecrest captured the win in 24:22.88, while Apple Valley secured the Division 3 title with a 25:59.85 performance.

Boys 4x1600m Relay 

Chaffey Edges Claremont in .07-Second Division 1 Thriller

All heats of the boys 4x1600m ran together, producing tight finishes across divisions. In Division 1, Chaffey narrowly claimed the win in 18:41.55, just ahead of Claremont at 18:41.62, with Cajon finishing third. Valley View led the way in Division 2, followed by Burroughs Ridgecrest and Hesperia. In Division 3, Canyon Springs took the top spot, with Rim of the World second and Colony third.

.15 Seconds Separates Sophomore Stars in Upland-Etiwanda 100H Battle

In Div 1, Heat 3 Sophomores stole the spotlight in the girls' 100m hurdles, with Zoey Byrd-Burwell of Etiwanda taking first in 16.03 seconds. Leah Davis of Upland was just behind in 16.18, while Kalimah Hollins of Etiwanda finished third at 16.98.

Heat 1 of Division 1 saw Upland dominate the girls' 100m hurdles, with Dior Wilson taking first in 18.70, Romina Ramos close behind in 18.75, and Naturell Senegal rounding out the podium at 19.10.

Catching up with Dior Wilson, she shared that this was her first 100m hurdles win and that she hopes to build her confidence with more races as such.

Boys 110m Hurdles

Brayden Caviel's 14.78 Breakthrough in the 110m Hurdles

Ayala's Brayden Caviel earned the victory at the Ontario Relays on Saturday, stopping the clock at 14.78. This PR for Brayden was long-awaited, as he stated coming into this race, he had been working on his trail leg and focusing on leaning into his confidence, which definitely paid off for him today. Close behind in the same division, Aiden De Hoyos (Helix) finished not too far behind in 15.52, while Joshua Thompson of Upland placed third.

Sebastian Hubbard of Ontario topped Division 2 with a 15.88 secs win, while Keishon Chatman of Carter claimed Division 3 gold in 17.62 seconds.

Claremont Breaks Stadium and Meet Record in Girls 4x800m Relay

Claremont delivered a dominating performance in the 4x800m relay, crossing the finish line in 9:10.13 to break both the stadium and meet records. Their strong, coordinated effort set the pace from start to finish, leaving the field behind and cementing their place in meet history. ​​Coming off a win in the 4x1600m earlier, this record-setting relay is a perfect way to kick off the season and set the tone for the meets ahead. This performance leaves little doubt that Claremont will be a team to watch all season.

Claremont Continues Relay Dominance with Boys 4x800m Win

Claremont continued their dominance in the relays, capturing first in the boys 4x800m with a time of 8:14.21. Following in the footsteps of the girls, who earlier claimed both the 4x1600m and 4x800m titles, the boys' victory further showcases Claremont as a distance threat and sets an impressive tone to start the season.

Etiwanda Girls Make Big Statement in 47.87 Season Opener

Etiwanda posted a 47.87, marking the California #2 time, in a strong season-opening performance. The team, made up of siblings the Francis sisters, Alana Bowles, and freshman Emani Barnett, shared that their sights are set on the big meets ahead, including Arcadia and the State meet. After such a dominant opener, it's clear this squad is built for it.

Helix Cruises to Win in Boys 4x100m Relay

Helix turned in a fast, well-executed performance to win the boys' 4x100m relay, crossing the line in 42.34. Cajon stayed close behind but couldn't catch the leaders, finishing second in 43.37. Helix's smooth exchanges and strong sprinting down the final stretch set the tone for what looks to be an exciting season in the sprint relays.

Bui Leads the Way in Girls' 100m Dash

Fountain Valley's Charlotte Bui took control of the Division 1 girls 100m, finishing first in 12.35. Helix's Ava Parker placed second in 12.41, and Ayala's Jenifer Nwachukwu followed in 12.53 to complete the podium.

Walker Leads Boys 100m Field Across Heats

Anthony Walker of Upland posted the fastest time of the day in the boys' 100m, winning his heat in 11.06. Micah Little of Linfield Christian also turned in a strong performance, running 11.11 while facing a -0.6 m/s headwind. Bryant Akanni of Temescal Canyon followed with an 11.13, while Nathaniel Baca of Ayala clocked 11.16 to round out the top performances across the heats.
