Who was the top boys track and field athlete in the Class of 2025? Below are three candidates looking for your votes. These candidates all rank among absolute elite nationally in the class in their respective events and among the best in CA regardless of class.

MCKAY MADSEN
Clovis North (CS)
McKay is the nation's No. 2-ranked combo thrower in the Class of '25 and among the elites oin CA overall. His PRs of 63-4.50 in the shot put and 191-3 in the discus throw both rank U.S. No. 2 in the class. His discus throw best to win Central Section Masters ranks CA No. 4 overall. His shot put best to win at F/S County Championships ranks CA No. 2 overall. McKay qualified for the State Meet finals in both throws, placing second in the discus throw (186-1) and seventh in the shot put (57-4.25).
EVAN NOONAN
Dana Hills (SS)
Even is one of the nation's top distance runners in the class of '25, as well as in CA overall. His 8:49.38 best for 3200m to win at Southern Section Masters ranks U.S. No. 2 in the class and CA No. 3 regardless of class. Evan ran his 1600m PR of 4:09.48 at South Coast League Finals, a time that ranks U.S. No. 5 in the class and CA No. 9 regardless of class. He won the SS Division 2 title in both the 1600m (4:10.69) and 3200m (8:56.63).
AYDON STEFANOPOULOS
Los Gatos (CC)
Aydon is among the elite combo 1600-3200 runners in the class as well as overall in CA. His 8:57.99 PR for 3200m placed fourth in the State Finals and ranks U.S. No. 5 in the class. Aydon ran his 1600m PR of 4:10.55 for eighth place at the State Meet Finals, a time that ranks U.S. No. 8 in the class. He won the Central Coast Section title for 3200m (9:00.33) and placed second in the 1600m (4:10.66).
