Clovis North sophomore McKay Madsen ranks No. 2 nationally in the class of 2025 in both the discus throw and the shot put and is a two-time CIF-State Meet finalist in both throws.

These combined rankings leaders are produced by pulling the top 100 performances in the discus throw, then adding the top 100 marks in the shot put. Athletes without marks in both events were eliminated and the top distances for the remaining athletes were added together to get this rankings list.

Because the discus throw is the foundation for this data article, athletes must have had a top-100 mark in that event to be included. Athletes with a high ranking in the shot without a top-100 mark in the discus are not included.
