Four non-seniors led by Clovis East junior Carter Spradling lead the list of boys distance runners ranked by the fastest combined 1600-3200 times in 2023. Of the top 13, only Matthew Donis, Parker Simmons, Ethan Miller, and Micah Sanchez are seniors.

These combined rankings leaders are produced by pulling the top 100 times in the 1600-meter run, then adding the top 100 times in the 3200-meter run. Athletes without times in both events were eliminated and the times for the remaining athletes were added together to get this rankings list.
Because the 1600-meter run is the foundation for this data article, athletes must have had a top-100 time in that event to be included. Athletes with a high ranking in the 3200m without a top-100 time in the 1600m are not included.
