Seniors Y'Vette Harris and Keilee Hall battled to the very end in the girls invitational 300-meter hurdles race at the Sacramento Meet of Champions on Saturday evening at American River College in Sacramento.
It is the fastest race in the event of the season in California and one of the fastest in the nation this year.
Harris, who had earlier won the 100m hurdles race, had to chase down Hall over the final couple of hurdles to earn the hurdles sweep for the second consecutive year. Harris was timed in a state-leading PR of 42.145 with Hall clocking 42.147. Those are the top two times in the event this season and rounded up to 42.15 are tied for the 10th fastest time in the U.S. this season.
These two figure to battle in both hurdles races over the next month all the way to the CIF-State Finals at the end of May.
