Lowell senior distance standout Jacqueline Holman leads this sampling of returning track and field athletes in the San Francisco City Section.
SAN FRANCISCO CITY SECTION BOYS AND GIRLS RETURNING RANKINGS
GIRLS
VICTORIA BOLDS (Washington, Sr.)
Victoria was the runner-up in both hurdles events at the All-City Finals. She ran 16.84 (2.0) for the 100m hurdles, and 50.79 for the 300m hurdles. She is the section's top returner in both events. She has the top returning time in the 100m hurdles and the No 2 time in the 300mH behind Lowell senior Celia Fong (50.08).
SAMANTHA GEE (Lowell, Sr.)
Samantha, a sprinter/jumper, was the All-City Finals runner-up in the 400 meter dash (1:03.45) and also she has the section's top returning mark in the high jump (4-6).
JACQUELINE HOLMAN (Lowell, Sr.)
Jackie is the most accomplished of all the returners in the SFS. At the All-City Finals last May, she won the 400m (1:01.63), won the 1600m (5:16.38), and placed second in the 800m (2:24.34). She is a two-time section cross country champion and has two placed among the top 14 at the State Meet. Last spring, she ran in the 1600m prelims at the State Track And Field Championship Prelims where she missed a top-12 finals spot but 3.3 seconds. She has PRs of 1:01.48 for 400, 2:19.57 for 800m, 4:59.18 for 1600m, 5:05.76 for the mile and 10:51.56 for 3200m.
NOELLE KIMOTSUKI (Galileo, Jr.)
Noelle placed second in the All-City Cross Country Final, and is the section's No. 2 returner in the 800m (2:27.80). Overall she is the No. 2 distance runner in the section behind Lowell's Jackie Holman.
NORAH LAURANCE (Lincoln, Jr.)
As a sophomore, Norah, a sprinter/jumper, won both the long jump (16-2/3.2) and the triple jump (33-7/3.5), and placed fifth in the 100-meter dash (13.46) at the All-City Finals. She has the section's top returning mark in the triple jump and No. 2 returning mark in the long jump behind Galileo's Julia Lim (17-5).
LOIS MCTRANG (Lowell/Jr.)
Lois, another product of that strong Lowell distance program, placed fourth in the section cross country finals and is the No. 3 returner for 800m (2:38.00) and No. 2 returner 1600m (5:37.74). Overall she is the section's No. 3 returner in the distances with returningtimes of 2:36.36/5:36.65/12:10.20.
MALIAH SAMPSON (O'Connell, So.)
As a freshman, Maliah swept the sprints at the section finals and competed in both the 100m and 200m at the State Meet. In four meets prior to State, she swept both short sprints in all four. She ran her 100m PR of 12.59 (1.4) at the State Prelims and dropped her 200m all-conditions PR of 26.25 at the SF Trials. She ran 26.69 (1.9) at State.
MEGAN WONG (Lowell, Sr.)
Megan is the section's top returner in both throws after placing second in both at the All-City Finals where she went 89-08 (PR) in the discus and 29-05 in the shot. She has a shot put PR from last spring of 29-10.
