Next in a series of articles focusing on standout athletes by class scheduled to compete Saturday at the CA Winter Track and Field Championships at Arcadia HS.

The 2023 CA Winter Track and Field Championship meet begins Saturday at 8 a.m. with prelims on the track in the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles on both the homestretch and backstretch. That schedule includes the first event of the boys pentathlon competition, the 60-meter hurdles. Field events begin at 8:15 a.m. with the girls weight throw. (See the updated schedule graphic below.)

On the pages below we highlight athletes in the Class of 2024 -- yep, just juniors -- who rank among the top competitors in the meet based on their outstanding performance(s) in qualifying. Some athletes who participated in Winter Qualifier meets and made the standard opted not to compete in Saturday's finals. Qualifying rankings listed below are based on athletes scheduled to compete in the finals and are different from CA overall winter outdoor rankings.

All athletes compete unattached or as part of a club during the winter track season but their high school affiliation is listed here for identification purposes.
