El Camino Real Boys
When you can lose three of your top four runners and still contend for your section's division 1 title, you know you have some depth in your program. The Conquistadores have their work cut out for them, but they also have a returning top 6 separated by only 4 seconds. If even a few of their juniors step up to the next level, this will be a strong team.
Eagle Rock Girls
This is partly a pick for this winter and partly for next fall. The Eagles will only lose 1 senior from their projected top seven this season, and that group is good enough to contend in the LA City Section's D2 race. With a monster junior class that includes their top three athletes, though, watch out for this squad later in 2021.
