Back to the Conejo Valley for a program that has been up and down over the last decade, but is definitely trending upward right now. The Chargers made the state meet in 2018 and finished 10th in Division 3 withonly one senior in their top 7 at the time. Ryan Koepnick will lead the team again, but Agoura's spring results show that the rest of the top 6 are closing up on him - which makes this team even more formidable. Seth Hardy and Ethan Godsey both broke 10 for the 3200, while Hardy and Beau Bordelon both ran under 4:30 in the 1600 (plus Ben Klepper at 4:35). The Chargers still need to round out their top 7 with depth, but their top 6 should be difficult to beat this fall. Adding extra motivation this season is the long-standing rivalry in their local area, with Thousand Oaks (#26 in our Countdown) as well as another team only a few miles away - and that other team is in Agoura's league, as well. Local bragging rights and section supremacy are on the line in the Northwest valleys this fall!
