Lowell's run of dominance in the San Francisco section likely isn't ending any time soon, although the Cardinal did graduate four of their top seven from last year's squad. That will make it hard for this year's team to duplicate their 2018 success, but there is also evidence of progress. Lead runner Zachary Parker had a strong spring, clocking 9:38 for 3200, and the group behind him could form into a strong pack (four boys within 8 seconds of each other in the 1600 with another two close behind). Lowell will make the state meet again, but the goal is to get out of the 22nd spot where they finished last year, and that will require a strong summer.
