If cross country was a four-person sport instead of five, this team would jump way up the rankings - their front four is very strong, and also tightly packed. There is a big gap between the Barons' returning 4 and 5 runners, however, and the team's track times don't show enough improvement on that for me to be ready to push them up this list. But if this team does develop at the 5-6-7 spots, look out: they could duplicate last year's 4th-place finish in the Southern Section D1 race, even with 3 graduated seniors gone from that squad.
