Jazlynn Shearer Silver Creek
This could be quite the historic section championship meet for Shearer (Pat Rhames photo below) as she will attempt to score her 4th straight section title in the 100m hurdles and also record 4 individual section titles to boot. She will be an overwhelming favorite in the hurdles and triple jump. At the Arcadia Invitational, Shearer finished 2nd in the 100m hurdles with a new PR of 13.36. That time places her comfortably as the 2nd fastest short hurdler in CCS history trailing only the superb 13.03 set by Vashti Thomas of Mt. Pleasant in 2007. She will also be favored in the long jump and will definitely be in the hunt for the 100m title.
