Varsity Girls

Team to Watch:

Oakland Technical Bulldogs

They are the clear favorite in the Oakland Section. In 2017 they placed 6 in the top 7 and are returning 12 of their top 13 including ALL of their varsity team. The bulk of the team (now seniors) have had a trailblazing career winning the last 3 Oakland Section Championships and setting the Oakland Section state meet team time record in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Taking over 8 minutes off the previous record (Skyline 2007). They placed 11th at CIF State last year. Lead by senior Caroline Garrett (17:57, 10:46, 5:05) who holds the Oakland Section 3200, 5k, JMP, and State meet records. She placed 10th at State meet (D1) in 2017 and is coming back ranked #1 in Northern California. She is followed by sophomore Quinn Sedlachek (19:09 NorCal All-Frosh 2017, 5:13).
