At-Large Teams With The Best Chance To Podium At NXN

Broomfield (CO) Girls -- NXR Southwest team scores and results

An experienced group returns to NXN. And here's why that matters: All six girls who ran to a seventh-place finish last year for Broomfield are back for another go-around.

There's certainly enough motivation for the Eagles to finally get a win over NXR Southwest second-place team Mountain Vista. Broomfield wasn't able to accomplish that all season, finishing as a runner-up to their rivals at Liberty Bell, Pat Patten, and the Class 5A state championships in Colorado before watching Battle Mountain finally take the nationally ranked foe down.

There's a chance Broomfield will pounce on their final opportunity here in Portland. The team generally runs tight, with a sub-60 second spread helmed by either senior Ivy Gonzales or Madison Mooney.

Sisters Katelyn and Emily Mitchem provide adequate depth, as does sophomore Sydney Swanker, who complete a scoring five that has little weakness on the right day.
