** In a count of the top five individuals and teams across each division, the Southern Section dominated. The 600-plus school section had 12 individual boys place among the top five across the five divisions with three second champions. The CIF-SS had 13 girls among the top five with two section champions. The SS's boys produced 16 top-five finishes with three champions and the section's girls produced 15 top-fives with four team champions. 

** The San Diego Section and the Central Coast Section each produced four boys individuals in among the top five but neither had an individual boys winner. 

** The North Coast Section and Sac-Joaquin Section each had three girls individuals among the top five with one individual winner (Rylee Bowen). 

* The North Coast Section produced five top-five boys teams with one State champion (San Francisco University) and the North Coast Section also produced four girls teams among the top five with one State champion (Campolindo). 

* Gillian Wagner's victory was the only top-five finish by a North Coast Section girl. The same is true for Justin Hazell out of the LA City Section.
