Lowell continues its dominance of San Francisco Section Final

San Francisco Section Girls Recap

Not to be overshadowed, Lowell's girls won the team title for the eighth year in a row and 39th time in 40 years dating to 1977, the first year girls competed. 

Senior Natalie Ewe was the section winner (19:32.20, senior Alyssa Young was second (20:25.20), senior Victoria Huang was sixth (21:11.80), freshman Paloma Suarez-Davila was eighth (21:29.50) and junior Charlotte Greenhill was ninth (21:38.30) scoring for Lowell.

Junior Haley Bucholz (20:37.50) was third overall and the first of four individual qualifiers for State. Also advancing to Fresno: Galileo senior Cathy Liang (fourth, 20:44.20), Galileo freshman Maia Piomelli (fifth, 21:04.30) and Lincoln sophomore Elen Zhu (seventh, 21:22.50).
