Virtual Meet: Cool Breeze Evening Invitational

Ethan Comeaux (Redondo Union) leads as many as 5 returners that broke 15 for 3 miles last year, and the girls' race pits two nationally-ranked teams!

By the time Saturday night rolls around, many of the state's top teams and athletes will have already posted their first major results of the 2016 season.  But will any of them post the kind of fast times among strong competition that the Cool Breeze Shootout has quickly become known for?  Two nationally-ranked girls teams want to show they're legitimate national powers this year, and several up-and-coming individual boys will vie for the early lead in the state rankings.  With it's late-evening race providing perfect weather and a new course at Brookside Country Club at the Rose Bowl, this is the most interesting meet of Week 1 in the Southern Section!  Check out some of the potential contenders among individuals and teams on the next few slides.
