Honorable Mention
We would be remiss if we only focused on the "big 6" sections, and it looks like there is quite a battle developing between these two Northern Section teams for supremacy in their region. Shasta was better in 2014, but they lost their top runner from that squad (although they have a strong senior class returning). West Valley, on the other hand, returns all 7 runners from the squad that finished 18th in Division 4 at Woodward Park last November. It will be interesting to see how these two teams have improved once the season gets started - neither has track results that jump out at you.
