Best times in a 5K and 3 Mile race?

My best 5k time is 15:21 at the 2010 CA State Meet course in Fresno, California. My best 3 Mile time was at the our home meet, Apache Invitational, where I ran 14:38.

Tell us how your training is going?

This summer has gone great so far. I have been working hard to try and achieve my goals on not only a personal level but team goals as well. It has been a long summer of training, but I'm excited and can't wait to put on that ARCADIA uniform and represent my school.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Well my individual goals are to finish top 5-10 in the state this year. I don't really have a set time because I know with a top place will come a fast time. At Mt. Sac, I hope to break the 15 minute barrier on route to helping my team win the invitational. As far as the team goals, it's simple, win. The goal is to be the best team next season. I was fortunate enough to be a scoring member of the National Championship team last year, but that was last year. We got a bunch of new faces on the varsity squad but a lot of talent that has gone under the radar. The goal as a team for me is repeating as State Champions.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I will be entering my fourth year of running. I didn't start running until the summer before my freshman year. I filled out a survey stating my interest in joining the cross country team and Coach O'Brien found me and convinced me to come out. The one guy who really convinced me into joining was Ammar Moussa. He was a friend of mine at the middle school and he is the one who takes credit for getting me into the program.

Will you be competing out of state this season?

I plan on racing at Nike Cross Nationals with my team as well as the Bob Firman invitational

Favorite course to run in California?

Woodward Park site for the Clovis Invitational and CA State Meet

Toughest course in California?

Mt. Sac

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

Definitly the CA State Meet, where I had a great race and we as a team were able to finally grab that elusive State title that we strove to get in past years

Favorite Cross Country memory?

Hearing the announcer call out Arcadia as the winner of Nike Cross Nationals. That moment will be with my forever.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

I really enjoy hanging out with my friends and just relaxing by listening to music.

Favorite quote?
