Central Coast Section Track & Field Season Preview

Hurdles

The section finals in both hurdle races were senior-dominated races. The Los Gatos boys powered to their first section track team title paced by their two outstanding hurdlers, Masaki Wada-Law and Joey Monti. Wada-Law won the high hurdle race and finished in 2nd place in the 300m IH race behind teammate Monti.

The two underclassmen who qualified for the 110m Hurdles final were Nolan Grieve of Santa Teresa and Max Gerhardt of Crystal Springs Uplands School. Grieve finished in 4th place with a time of 15:08, missing a state meet berth by .01. Gerhardt finished in 8th place with his 2nd fastest time of the season at 15.70.
