Presentation coach Craig Lee ran for current Campolindo coach Chuck Woolridge at College Park. He has coached at Notre Dame-San Jose and Archbishop Mitty before taking over the helm at Presentation. The Panthers improved from 7th place in 2016 to win the Division II section title last season and will be favored to repeat this coming season. Although they did lose front-runner Paige Comiso, Presentation returns the rest of the team looking to defeat league rival St. Francis once again this season. Aside from St. Francis which should be much improved, look for a developing Willow Glen team that will look to break up the WCAL rivals.

Aragon senior Emma Madgic is the top returner from last year's meet where she finished in 3rd place. She had an inconsistent Track and Field season which might leave the door open for another competitor to win the individual title. Juniors Madison Yen of Willow Glen and Gianna Mendoza of Presentation both were the next underclassmen to finish behind Madgic and will be threats. St. Francis, Mt. View sophomore Isabelle Cairns was a top 10 finisher but has the best speed in this division with personal bests of 57.70 and 2:12.83.
