The The Oakland Section has been an afterthought for many years when it comes to Cross Country save for a few outliers like the 2007 Skyline team that was led by now Dublin HS coach, Chris Williams and Zachary Katzman (Skyline '16). Over the past few years, a contender has to be accounted for on the girls' side with the emergence of the Oakland Technical team. They were quite impressive on the track and seem poised to make their presence known at local invitationals and perhaps at the California state meet. Oakland Technical is coached by former Sir Francis Drake and University of Berkeley runner, Richie Boulet. For those of you not familiar with Mr. Boulet, his PRs are quite outstanding and he is perhaps the fastest coach in the country?
