Distance
It looks like many of the state's top distance runners have decided to switch gears and train for cross country, but a handful are still racing this weekend.Only three current (or just-graduated) high school runners are entered: Cooper Teare in the 1500, along with Christian Wehrli in the 3000 Steeplechase. Former Venice runner Paul Luevano (above), now competing for Boston University, is entered in the 1500 and 5000, and he will be joined in that first race by Christopher Morzenti and Michelle Magnani. Samantha Poliakon (UC Riverside, Cajon) is competing in the Steeple.
(Note: Rylee Bowen was initially entered in the 1500 and the 3000 Steeple, but has now scratched.)
