Just like the boys' varsity race, the individual champion in the girls' race came from the second-place team, while the winning team had a cluster of runners in the top 10.  In this case, it was Isabella Fauria (St. Francis) who crossed the line first, followed closely by teammate Sydney Vandegrift. Then came the Davis pack, taking spots 3 through 6 as well as 8th and 10th. That was enough to secure a 26 - 35 win for the Blue Devils, although St. Francis left no doubt that they have a team that can make some noise in the section finals and potentially at the state meet.
