Bakersfield Highland senior Moises Medrano won the boys 1,600 and 800 titles at the Central Section Masters Track and Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis on Saturday.
Medrano's time in the 1,600 with a personal-best time of 4:14.09 and ran a season-best 1:52.09 in the 800.
After the meet, Medrano decided to run only the 1,600 at State in two weeks.
