Girls Championship: In historic fashion the queen of the west coast, Jordan Hasay, dominated a tightly contested race to claim  a record setting 4th straight individual championship in 18:02. California Division I individual state champion Alex Dunne placed second (18:12) with super frosh Danielle Menlove from Utah coming in 3rd (18:23). Girls Championship Results

Danielle Menlove; Utah State Champion, "I am really looking forward to finals, the hills were really hard but I felt like I did my best. I tried to stay with the leaders and stay relaxed through the first half of the race. Looking forward to nationals. " Menlove is not new to winning or running well, multiple youth national champion, the US #2 all-time youth 1500m runner, and Utah State Champion breezed through the 5000m course to a 3rd place finish. As we watch the exit of the Jordan Hasay we see the emergence of the future star Danielle Menlove.

Jessica Tonn; Arizona State Champion,  "I was happy the race started out slowly, the past two years I have always been tired at nationals, I felt the pace will help me be more fresh for nationals. My goal is to get all-american this year (top 15), my major goal is top ten; the highlight of my season was the nike region race when I ran 17:40 over 5k; my parents are my biggest supporters, they drive me to practice and my coach jeff messer has coached me since 7th grade, he is so positive. I feel Balboa is a challenging course, I like the hills and feel they will play to my advantage. I am so excited to qualify for my third Footlocker Finals."
