As part of MileSplitCA's detailed walk-up to the 2018 CIF Track & Field season, one of the objectives is to interview as many of the elite and returning athletes as we are able to catch up with to provide a feature video for our premium subscribers.
In this feature, we profile Long Beach Poly sprinter Ariyonna Augustine, the CIF-State champion in the 100- and 200-meter sprints.
The LSU-bound Augustine, who ranked nationally in both sprints as a junior and came on late to take both CA titles, is looking to become the second Long Beach Poly sprinter to repeat as a double State champion and the first since Ariana Washington swept the 100-200 for the Jackrabbits in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Follow along as we continue to populate this Track & Field Preview Interview Series with new profiles.
