Defending CIF-State 100m champion Ariyonna Augustine jumped into a boys 60m heat at the Long Beach Poly All-Comers meet. One of the top returning boys sprinters in the state, Christian Moore (Oaks Christian), won the race in 7.08 seconds. Augustine clocked 7.71.

Mixed 4x200 Relay - Augustine 2nd leg Jan 6, 2018

Boys and girls teams competed in the same 4x200 relay at the Long Beach Poly All-Comers. The LB Poly girls team was made up of Saundria Martin, Ariyonna Augustine, Jaelyn Predium and Kenya Payne. Competing as Speed City, that quartet posted a time of 1:41.24.

Maddie Lyon won the first of two heats in the girls 60m hurdles. Lyon (9.81 seconds) narrowly beat runner-up Kenya Payne (9.82).
