Saturday Highlights

  • Devon Allen (Brophy Prep) got 5 wins, 4 of them today in an incredibile display of talent.  He won the boys 110H with a US#4 clocking of 13.52, the 300H with a 36.39, the 200m dash with a time of 21.10 and the 4x100 with a time of 41.15.
  • Futsum Zeinasellassie (IN) won the 3200m run with a blazing 8:47.75 after having to respond to a kick from Bernie Montoya, who was 2nd in 8:48.25.  Craig Nowak (TX) was 3rd in 8:49.12 and Jake Leingang (ND) was 4th in 8:51.23.  16 boys broke 9 minutes!
  • Soph Sarah Baxter (CA) is in shape! She rolled up the competition to the tune of a 10:08.11 clocking in the 3200m run.  Laura Hollander (CA) was 2nd in 10:10.51.
  • Harvard Westlake (CA) won the girls DMR, but not without some drama.  The baton was dropped on the last handoff, but Cami Chapus picked it back up and worked to regain lost distance.  Chapus put it in high gear on the final lap to win in 11:45.18.  Redondo Union (CA) was 2nd in 11:53.53.
  • Vista Murietta (CA) won the boys DMR with a US#1 clocking of 10:08.52 as anchor Porter Reddish outkicked Nick Hartle and Centennial, 2nd in 10:08.96. 
  • A thrilling race took place in the boys 800m run with Tyler Smith winning in 1:49.23 over Hector Hernandez, 1:49.23.
  • In the girls 800m run Savannah Camacho (CA) won with a swift 2:07.81. 
  • Serra (CA) won the girls 4x400m relay in 3:47.18.
  • Ethan Cochran won the boys Discus with a US#1 toss of 209-08.
  • Ashlie Blake won the girls Shot Put with a US#3 toss of 49-10.50.
  • In the girls Pole Vault 4 girls tied at 12-07.25 with McKenzie Johnson taking the win.
  • Peter Chapman won the Pole Vault with a US#5 16-6.50.
  • Rachel Toliver won the girls Triple Jump with a US#3 mark of 40-03.75.
  • Gabrielle Williams won the girs High Jump with a leap of 5-10.
  • Klyvens Delaunay won the boys Triple Jump with a US#5 leap of 49-04.25.
  • Aaliyah Brown (IL) won the girls 100m dash with a time of 11.48 and the 200m dash in 23.96, finishing just ahead of Arianna Washington, 23.97.
  • Shamier Little (IL) won the girls 400m dash with a quick 53.79.  Freshman Mikaela Smith (CA) finished 2nd overall after winning the prior heat with a time of 55.62.
  • Champ Page (MD) won the boys 400m dash in 47.31.
  • Jaide Stepter (AZ) won the girls 300H with a time of 42.22.
  • Traci Hicks (Long Beach Poly) won the girls 100H with a time of 13.63.
  • Brad Nye (Davis UT) won the boys Mile with a quick 4:08.80 over Marcus Dickson, 4:09.41.
  • Amy-Eloise Neale won the girls Mile over Maddie Meyers with a time of 4:51.43.
  • In the girls 4x100m Long Beach Poly blasted a 46.13 for the win.
  • In the boys 4x100m relay Brophy Prep won with a time of 41.15 for US#5. 

Friday Highlights

  • Wakefield (NC) won the girls 4x200m with an incredible 1:35.98, a US#13 time All-Time!!
  • Long Beach Poly (CA) girls won the 4x100H relay with a US#2 All-Time clocking of 58.11!
  • Harvard Westlake (CA) won the girls 1600m SMR with a US#1 clocking of 3:55.34 for a meet record.  The time is also US#17 All-Time.
  • Brophy Prep won the 4x110 Shuttle Hurdles after Devon Allen recovered from a fall over the final hurdle.
  • Long Beach Poly (CA) girls won the 800m SMR with a US#1 clocking of 1:44.37.
  • Ventura (CA) boys win the 1600m SMR with a time of 3:29.59.
  • Rio Mesa (CA) boys on the 4x200m with a US#8 time of 1:26.76.
  • Centennial (NV) won the boys 4x800m with a quick 7:44.00.
  • Redondo Union (CA) won the girls 4x800m with a US#1 clocking of 9:05.86.

Thursday results

  • Grant Zebold (Cathedral Catholic CA) leads the boys multi competition with 3365 points.
  • Tori Usgaard (Dana Hills CA) leads the girls competition with 2707 points.

Saturday Highlights

  • The 4x400m was hopping as American Heritage won a thrilling race over St. Thomas Aquinas with the teams going US#1 and US#2 this season.  AH won in 3:43.15 while St. Thomas was 2nd in 3:44.47.
  • Boyd Anderson girls won the 4x100m relay with a US#2 clocking of 45.66.
  • Saratoga Springs (NY) won the girls 4x1600m relay with a meet record time of 20:12.28.
  • American Heritage (FL) ran a nice 9:13.77 in the girls 4x800 with Daesha Rogers on the squad.
  • Tori Owers (Athens Academy) won the shot put with a put of 48-08.25.

Friday Highlights

  • 7th grade phenom Daesha Rogers (American Heritage) took it to a whole new level, winning the Invite 800m run with a time of 2:09.44.  Tanisha Coppin (Boyd Anderson) was 2nd in 2:12.54.
  • Andres Arroyo (Colonial) won the boys 800m run with a time of 1:51.04, followed closely by Ryan Schnulle (Charlotte) in 1:51.46.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas girls won the 4x200m relay with a swift 1:40.20.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas boys also took 4x200 gold with a time of 1:26.67.
  • Lily Williams (Chiles) won the girls 1600m run with a time of 4:47.79.
  • Ryan Gousse (Trinity Prep) won the boys 1600m run with a time of 4:16.41.
  • Shayla Sanders (Boyd Anderson) won the girls 100m dash with a time of 11.49.  Teammate Kali Davis-White was 2nd in 11.56.
  • Levonte Whitfield (Jones) won the boys 100m dash in a swift 10.21 over Kendal Williams (Stanton), 10.37.  Marvin Bracy false-started.

 

Mill Valley Invitational, KS

Highlights

  • Emily Brigham (Mill Valley) won the pole vault with a US#2 clearance of 13-00.

Highlights

  • Edward Cheserek finished 7th in the 10000m with a US#8 All-Time mark of 29:42.31!  The time also eradicates the NJ state record of 30:25 set by Matt Leddy in 1977 at the Penn Relays.  Some superb running from Cheserek!
  • Brianna Nerud (North Shore NY) finished 4th in the 3000m Steeplechase with a US#2 All-Time mark of 10:24.95.
  • Ajee Wilson (Neptune NJ) won her heat of the 1500m run with a time of 4:28.59.

  • Kendell Williams (Kell GA) completed a fantastic triple, winning the 100H in 13.64, the Long Jump in a US#1 leap of 20-6 and the High Jump in 5-10!
  • In the boys 800m run Tre'Tez Kinnaird (KY) won with a blazing 1:51.77 to Cameron Thornton (GA), 1:51.80.
  • Marcuita Stalbert (LA) won the 400m dash in a swift 53.77 and the 200m dash in 23.93.
