In the past two weeks, we have seen great performances for boys in the 1600m, so it's a great time to see who has improved or is hovering right around their personal record.

A great story of improvement is Grant Miller out of La Serna High School, who noted that the biggest win of his life came at The TEN last weekend. He opened up his season with a one-second PR at the Redondo Invitational of 4:15, showing the promise of a great season. At The TEN, Miller improved by 8.35 seconds to secure the 1600m victory over a stacked field. Winning the 1600m in 4:08.30 now places Miller in a different conversation with the California lead.

We caught up with Miller after his 1600m race. You can watch our interview below. You can also watch his 1600m race on FloTrack.

The Most Improved 1600m runner this season so far is sophomore, Lucas Nulman, who has PRed by 48.24 seconds so far. He ran 4:26.67 at the Griffin Invitational and Relays, ranking him the 35th fastest sophomore in California.
