This video focuses on the four returning CIF-State Meet qualifiers currently training with the North County Pole Vault Club, including defending girls State champion Ashley Callahan, a junior at Rancho Bernardo HS. The club, run out of Calvin Christian School in Escondido, CA, is headed by Mike Wagenveld. Additional athletes focused in this workout are Maya Grudman, a junior at Sage Creek, Katerina Adamiec, a senior at Poway headed to UCLA, and Garrett Brown, a junior at La Costa Canyon. Adamiec was sixth at State last May and sixth in the top division at the recent National Pole Vault Summit in Reno. Brown placed second with a 16-foot, 2-inch PR in the second highest tier at the Summit.The majority of this video was filmed on Jan. 13, before the Summit, with follow-up footage on Jan. 20.
