Time: Field Events 2:00pm, Running Events 2:30pm
Coaches Meeting: 1:40 pm
Gates Open: Gates for spectators at 1:00pm, competing schools at 12:00pm
Entry Fees: The entry fee for Central Section meets is $8.00 per athlete or $300 per team.

Divisions: Frosh/Soph Boys, Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys

Awards: Medals will be awarded to all 1st -5th place finishers at all levels. There will be a Most

Valuable Athlete trophy for the top varsity girl and boy.

Team Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top three varsity teams and the top frosh/soph team

Uniforms: School issued track uniforms must be worn at all events and all uniform rules will be enforced.

Spikes: Spikes must be pyramid 3/16 or smaller NO NEEDLE OR XMAS TREE SPIKES (spikes will be checked at the point of entrance)

Facilities: Robert F. Kennedy has an all-weather 9 lane track and all weather runways.

Admission: Adults $3.00, students with ASB stickers $2.00, students without ASB sticker $3.00.


Warm Up: No warm-ups on the infield. Please make sure your athletes are not in the infield area unless they are competing. Athlete warm up area will be on the south side of the track.

Scratches: Scratches will be handled at event check-in.

Concessions: The concession stand will be available. No glass containers will be allowed in the stadium.

Programs: Programs will be available for $1.00. Your coachs packet will contain two programs.

Weigh-in: The implement weight-in location will be on the north side of the track next to the gym.

Implements may be weighed in from 12:00pm-1:30pm.

Pole Vault: Inspection will be at the pole vault area.

Team Entry: All teams will enter through the gate on the east side of the stadium. Shoes will be inspected by the RFK staff. Coaches, please make sure your athletes spikes are legal. NO GLASS CONTAINERS INSIDE STADIUM. NO FOOD OR DRINKS WITH SUGER INSIDE THE TRACK AREA.

Staggers: 1600 meter relay will be three turn stager

3200 meter relay will be one turn stagger

1600 & 3200 meter race will be a double waterfall

Field Events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus will get 3 trials. No Finals

Canopies: All canopies on the home side must be set up on the upper deck, but not in front of the press box.


Coaches, please go over the information with your athletes

Clerks: The clerk of the course will be located on the SOUTH side of the visiting stands. All athletes competing in the running events must check in 15 minutes before their event begins. When their event is called, the athletes must report to the warm up area. At the warm up area they will be called to check in with the clerk at the course table. The athletes will wait at the check in area and will then be escorted to the starting line. Athletes that dont check in on time will risk being disqualified from their events.

Field Events: Field event athletes will report to their event at least 20 minutes before their event starts

Coaches Supervision of Athletes:

* School coaches are responsible for each athlete

* Show sportsmanship

Entries: 1 relay team from each school in the 4x100 and 4x400 (By division).

F/S - 3 entries in all track and field events

Varsity Boys/Girls 4 entries in the 1600m and 3200m and 3 entries in all other track and field events

Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1

Parking: Bus and Van team parking will be located EAST of the stadium. SEE MAP
