48th John Frank Invitational

SATURDAY, April 6, 2019

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

On behalf of Central Valley High School, we look forward to your participation in the 47th annual John Frank Invitational Track and Field Meet. We are proud of our 47 plus years of great traditions and the opportunities we have created for thousands of high school track and field athletes.

Entries: You may enter up to three athletes in each event. All entries must be made online at athletic.net. Be sure to submit JV and Varsity only!!

Substitutions: WE WILL ONLY SUBSTITUTE ALLOW BODY FOR BODY SUBSTITUTIONS IN ALL EVENTS, NO ADDS!!! Substitutions in all running events will be at the clerk of the course at the north entrance. All field events will be substituted at each field event.

Day of Meet Scratches/Additions:

You will be asked to submit a scratch sheet before 9:30 a.m. on meet day to the clerk of the course. Additional entries on meet day are rare and at the discretion of the meet director. Weigh-ins are at 8:45 am. Field events start at 9:30. Track events begin at 10:15am. Coaches Meeting at the press box at 9:07am.

Specialty Races: The Alumni Mile/Coaches Mile is at 10:00 The Weight mans 4 x 100 relay will begin with the other 4x 100 relays, and the Thundering 40 will follow the 4x400 Relays. No penalty for athletes competing in any of the specialty races. The first race of the day will be the Weight Mans Relay, followed by the 1500 Meter Runs

Entry Fee: $ 15.00 per relay, $ 20.00 per athlete, or $375.00 max per school. Please either mail the check to CVHS Track and Field or bring it to the meet.

Running Events

All running events will be timed finals.

Field Events

The Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus will be organized in medaling flights, and NO FINALS for all JV divisions! Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus will get four attempts. Jump starting heights for vertical jumps will be 2 inches below the lowest athletic.net entry marks, (unless changed by meet director) noted on for high jump and six inches below for pole vault.

We will discuss the minimum line when the entries have been submitted to alleviate any confusion or misinformation.

Reporting to Events

The Clerk-of the-Courses tent is located in the north entrance. Competitors in running events must report to the clerk by 2nd call. At 3rd call scratches will be made, competitors will be escorted to the starting line. All field event competitors will report directly to the field event.

Results will be available on athletic.net.

Meet Rules

2019 National Federation Rules will apply. Uniform rules will be enforced, especially for relays. Please check your relay teams for undergarment compliance according to the 2019 rulebook. RememberNO JEWELRY!

Spikes

Track and jumping surfaces are all-weather Atlas Urethane. Only 3/16 inch spikes or smaller are allowed. NO NEEDLE NOSE!

Awards

Medals will be awarded for the top five places per Varsity and Junior Varsity events. Please pick-up your awards at the Press Box after they have been announced! Team trophies will be awarded for all four divisions to the top team.

Admission

Inform your spectators there will be an admission fee of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child under twelve (12) or seniors. Children under five (5) are free.

Concessions

There will be a snack bar in operation at the meet.
