Can De'Anna Nowling power Calabasas to the state title despite their major setback earlier in the championship season? Our Virtual Meet tries to answer that question and more!
This article is an event-by-event merge of the top scoring marks in the six largest sections other than the Southern Section, and then merges them with the Southern Section with full team scoring.
The first two pages are merges of the six largest sections: North Coast, Sac-Joaquin, Central, San Diego, Los Angeles City and Central Coast. The last two pages are the full seven-section merge.
Note that because the merges are based off of marks set at section qualifying meets, there are some oddities. One example, the No. 7 finisher in the Southern Section girls 800 was faster than the winner of any other section, yet didn't make the at-large qualifying standard.
That aside, the article provides an overall bigger picture look at the teams and athletes competing for medals and titles at this weekend's 101st CIF-State Track and Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium on the campus of Buchanan High in Clovis.
