Girls
Lindsey Billotte (Classical Academy HS): Led the San Diego Section with a 5th-place finish in the Elite field at the PR City Invitational. Billotte's 17:06.80 was good enough for a new P.R and a section lead. At last year's CIF State Cross Country Championships, she placed 3rd in the Division IV race.
Alyssa Gutierrez (St. Francis (SJ): The sophomore from the Saint Francis led the team to a title with her first-place finish at the Oakmont Invite. Gutierrez held her own against a big field and averaged 5:19 per mile over the 4K distance for a final time of 13:13.76 last weekend.
Bethlehem George (Bonita Vista HS): Ran away with the win at the Ian Cumming/Tim Latham Invitational in San Diego. As a sophomore, has been the top San Diego finisher at two San Diego Section invites.
Boys
Lucas Welty (Healdsburg HS): The junior ran 10:35.10, a 5:02-per-mile average pace, over the seldom-raced 2.1-mile distance at the 9th Annual Bob Shor Invitational. Welty also led his fellow Greyhounds to the team title at the invite with his first-place finish. He boasts a 15:49.30 from the 2025 CIF State Cross Country Championships.
Kellan Fleck (La Costa Canyon HS): The first non-Southern Section athlete to cross the line at the PR City Invitational. Finished 49th in the Elite field and clocked 15:20.00 for his season opener. Fleck's P.R over the same distance sits at 15:04.50 from last season's NCC Coastal/Avocado League Cluster 1. He currently leads the San Diego Section for the 3-mile distance.
Lucas Lipman (Dublin HS): A quick 15:18.40 at the Hayward Scrimmage 3-mile meet earns Lipman a spot on the list. He led his team to a sweep, thus earning a perfect score of 15 at the meet. The senior's season opener resulted in a P.R and a North Coast Section lead.
