Girls Performances
Zora Grant, California All Stars
Event: Girls 800m (9 Years Old) - 2:36.48 - 2nd Place
Grant delivered California's highest individual finish of the day, earning the silver medal in the 9-year-old girls' 800m. She reached 400 meters in 1:12.50 and completed her second lap in 1:23.98 to finish in 2:36.48, just over two seconds behind the national champion.
Kaylani Sison, Mission Valley Track & Field
Event: Girls 800m (11 Years Old) - 2:23.89 - 2nd Place
Sison added another national runner-up finish for California in the 11-year-old 800m. She stayed near the front through a 1:09.57 opening lap and crossed in 2:23.89, finishing only 0.46 seconds behind Alabama Heat's Corlin Rue.
Event: Girls 800m (8-Under) - 2:48.83 - 4th Place
Combest earned a top-four national finish in the 8-under 800m. She came through halfway in 1:19.09 before closing in 1:29.74, moving Covina Shooting Stars onto the Day 5 awards podium.
Event: Girls 800m (9 Years Old) - 2:40.22 - 4th Place
Farmer joined Grant in the top four of the 9-year-old 800m, running 2:40.22. She produced a balanced race, opening in 1:16.15 and finishing her second lap in 1:24.07.
Event: Girls 800m (9 Years Old) - 2:41.12 - 7th Place
Okeze gave California a third top-seven finisher in the same 800m final. She recorded a 2:41.12 performance, placing seventh nationally and finishing less than five seconds behind teammate Grant.
Event: Girls 200m (9 Years Old) - 28.40 - Advanced
Ledoux automatically advanced to the 200m final after placing second in her semifinal heat. Her 28.40 performance ranked fifth overall among the eight qualifiers, putting her in position to contend for another All-American finish.
California All Stars 'A'
Event: Girls 4x400m Relay (9-10 Years Old) - 4:31.85 - 2nd Qualifier
Braelie Ingram, Serenity Carrington, E'Myah Miles and Amina Zamora won their preliminary heat and posted the second-fastest qualifying time overall. Their 4:31.85 was only 0.20 seconds behind the top seed.
Boys Performances
Joshua Carrillo, California 10 East
Event: Boys Javelin (14 Years Old) - 28.22m (92-7) - 30th Place
Carrillo recorded his best throw on his third attempt, improving from 19.80 meters to 26.94 meters before finishing with a mark of 28.22 meters. He placed 30th nationally in the 14-year-old boys' javelin competition.
