Girls Performances
Event: Girls 200m Hurdles (14 Years Old) - 28.34 - Qualified for Final
Combest punched her ticket to the 14-year-old final after running 28.34, the seventh-fastest qualifying time. She'll have an opportunity to compete for a national title later this week.
Event: Girls 800m (13 Years Old) - 2:23.12
Miles narrowly missed qualifying for the championship final after running 2:23.12. She finished 13th overall, less than a second outside the final qualifying position.
Event: Girls 200m (11 Years Old) - 29.87
Harper broke the 30-second barrier with a 29.87 effort in the preliminaries. She added another quality sprint performance for Mission Valley during a successful week at the Junior Olympics.
Boys Performances
Event: Boys 200m Hurdles (14 Years Old) - 28.34
Maldonado posted California's fastest performance in the boys 14-year-old hurdles, running 28.34. He narrowly missed advancing but continued a strong all-around meet, competing across multiple disciplines.
Event: Boys Discus (13 Years Old) - 78-1 (23.81m)
Rajeshkumar paced California's boys in the 13-year-old discus with a throw of 23.81m (78-1). He finished as Mission Valley's top performer in the event.
Event: Boys 800m (14 Years Old) - 2:12.25
Battisti turned in California's fastest performance in the boys 14-year-old 800m, running 2:12.25. Although he missed the qualifying standard, he finished among the top California runners in the event.
