Joshua Valles 2-P (Hoover High School Fresno) threw 66-11.75 in the shot put at the CIF CS Masters Championships on May 23, improving from his previous mark of 36-5. The throw moved him to #1 in California and set a school record. Valles placed first of 33 competitors.
Lawerence Kensinger (Venice Senior High School) threw 65-11 in the shot put at the CIF-Los Angeles City Section Finals on May 21, bettering his previous best of 59-8.5. The mark ranks #2 in the state among all athletes and #2 among seniors. Kensinger won the event with 38 competitors and set a school record.
Eric Diaz Ramon (Fowler High) threw 60-5.5 in the shot put at the CIF CS Masters Championships on May 23, improving from 25-5 set in May 2026. The sophomore ranks #12 in California and placed fourth of 33 competitors.
