This Week's Nominees:
Ava Parker, Helix Charter (SD) (California): Turned in a dominant freshman performance at the Grossmont Conference Varsity Finals, winning both the 200 (23.89) and 400 (54.22). The times rank her as the #1 freshman in California in both events.
Kira Gant Hatcher, St. Mary's College HS (NC) (California): Posted wins in two of three events at TCAL Finals, taking the long jump with a mark of 20-7.5 and the 100 in 11.76. Also placed second in the triple jump at 41-6.
Gabrielle Thomas, Grossmont (SD) (California): Swept both hurdles events at the Grossmont Conference Varsity Finals, clocking 13.69 in the 100m hurdles and 43.59 in the 300m hurdles for a pair of victories.
Nevaeh Ramos Howard, Stockdale (CS) (California): Won both sprint events at the SYRL Varsity Champs with times of 11.77 in the 100 and 24.28 in the 200. Ranks as the #6 junior in California in both events.
Lanie Hempel, Livermore (NC) (California): Captured the 800 at the EBAL Championships in 2:10.36 and also won the 400 in 57.00 for a middle distance double.
