4. Cruz Twins and Murray Dominate 3200m
The Invitational Girls' 3200m was a close contest among Westlake freshman twins Anias and Sabina Cruz, and Jenna Murray from Moorpark.
Anais Cruz led the race from start to finish and unleashed a huge kick in the final lap to separate and secure a new personal best of 10:45.80. Sabina Cruz and Jenna Murray made a big push in the final 100m to close the gap and finish at 10:46.27 and 10:46.79.
All three of these girls are now ranked in the top 25 in California, but the biggest takeaway comes from the freshman duo. The Cruz Twins are ranked as the 8th and 10th-fastest freshmen in the country. They are two of the four freshmen girls from California ranked in the U.S. top 10, furthering the narrative of California's strong next wave of 3200m talent.
