POLL: CA Boys Performer of the Week Feb. 16-21

We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best track and field performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after on MileSplit West Social media pages (Instagram, X, Facebook).

Joshua Komrosky (Ayala)

At the Ontario Relays, Joshua Komrosky set a meet record in the shot put and discus. This is no surprise as the junior finished seventh in the CIF State discus final last season. Most impressively, threw 56-5 in the shot put, which is a personal record.

Naryan Banerjee (Jesuit)

The Jesuit junior, Naryaj Banerjee, captured victories in the high jump and long jump at the Inderkum Invite. Both of his marks are top three in California this season, demonstrating the momentum he's carrying from a super sophomore season. His impressive 6-8 effort in the high jump is only a foot off his personal record last season.

Deshawn Seymour Jr (Will Wood C. High School)

No one could stop Deshawn Seymour Jr at the Inderkum Invite as he secured the 100m and 200m victories. Seymour Jr ran 10.65 in the 100m and a personal record of 21.63 in the 200m.

Aiden De Hoyos (Helix)

The Ontario Relays produced a CIF State meet-level battle in the 300m hurdles, won by Aiden De Hoyos in a personal record of 38.08. This is an amazing start to the season, considering he opened up last season with a 42.33.

Jace Wells (Servite)

It was absolute domination for the Servite boys at the Eagle Invitational, and Jace Wells played an essential role all over the track. Wells helped the boys win the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, placing them in the U.S. top 10 in both events. Plus, he ran 21.22 to win the 200m after running 10.76 to place second to his brother in the 100m.
