Thomas received 50 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Grant Morgenfeld of Palo Alto (CC) was second in the voting with 42 percent of votes.
This week we are putting seven top cross country performers on the line for you to choose the overall CA XC Runner of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state.

Josh Bell (Templeton/CS) - Josh, a junior, defended his CIF-Central Section Division 3 title, running 15:31.64 on the 5K Woodward Park course in Fresno.
Chris Caudillo (Clovis/CS) - Chris, a senior, defended his CIF-Central Section Division 1 title, running 15:01.98 on the 5K Woodward Park course in Fresno.
Daegan Cutter (Redwood/NC) - Daegan, a senior, won the CIF-North Coast Section Division 2 title, running 14:45.37, the fastest time at the meet over the 3-mile Hayward HS course.
Matthew Donis (Highland/SS) - Matthew, a senior, was the fastest boy at the meet in winning the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 title, running 14:35.00 on the 3-mile course at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
Max Fields (Palisades/LA) - Max, a junior, won his second consecutive CIF-Los Angeles City Section Division 1 title, running 15:08.90, the fastest time at the meet over the 3-mile Pierce College course in Woodland Hills.
Miles Jones (Oakland Tech/OK) - Miles, a junior, won the CIF-Oakland Section title, running 16:554.76 over the 5K layout at Lake Chabot Golf Course in Oakland.
Sean Morello (Albany/NC) - Sean, a senior, won his second consecutive CIF-North Coast Section Division 4 title, running 14:58.11 over the 3-mile Hayward HS course.
