TEAM RANKINGS San Diego Section Top-10 Per Gender

GIRLS

* * *

1.   Cathedral Catholic -- Look for Kapiolani Coleman (hurdles, jumps) to score in as many as four events and Kennedy Clarke (40-2 3/4 and 116-1) among best in throws. Potential scorers in 14 events.

2.   Poway -- Alyssa Bean (55.13), Tessa Buswell (4:56.90), Mackenzie Rogers (5:00.23), and Avery Hilliard (13-0 in the vault) are big points.

3.   Del Norte -- With Allison Leigh (14-0 in vault) and the distance duo of Hannah Riggins (2:13.54 in 800) and frosh Emily Russo (fifth in the section Division 1 XC final), Del Norte could score in lots of events.

4.   Scripps Ranch -- This Is counting Aaliyah McCormick in at least two events. If she specializes, depth is lacking

5.   Torrey Pines -- Annika Salz (4:57.48, 10:35.93) is a proven commodity on the track. Tanna Schornstein (56.2 in 400) could add a bunch.

6.  Sage Creek -- If it were just distance runners Sage Creek would be set with Stormy Wallace (10:31.65) and Kayla Scuba (5:03.82).

7.  Rancho Bernardo -- It looks like Jacey Farmer has regained her form in whatever event she enters and you can always count on the Broncos for pole vault points.

8.  Mt. Carmel -- The Sundevils have the No. 1 returner in the discus in Madeleine Seabolt (120-8) and they always find points elsewhere.

9.  El Camino -- With jumpers like Jenniece Pingley (37-7) returning plus the usual assortment of sprinters, the Wildcats should be solid.

10.  Bishop's -- The question is which events Madeline Cramer enters. Off cross country, the 800 (2:11.98)  looks as good as her 400(55.58).
