Justin Singer, a senior at Cypress (SS), ran the 1500 meters in 4:05.35 in a Winter Championships Qualifier meet, the fastest time for that event among qualifier meets so far this January.
In recognition of his accomplishment, Singer was voted as CA's Boys Performer of the Week for the period ending Jan. 18, receiving 49.80 percent of almost 23,000 votes in a statewide poll. Cathedral (SS) senior William Mullins was second with 38.05 percent of the vote.
