Videos: How Santa Margarita Is Dealing With The Shutdown

How is your team handling the COVID-19-related shutdown of the 2020 outdoor track and field season?

Here's a sampling of how one team -- Orange County-based Santa Margarita Catholic -- is making the best of its time dealing in the new reality of social distancing, quarantine, online classes and, of course, training on their own.

AWESOME Shout-out and virtual High-5 to Santa Margarita Catholic coach Sean Zeitler and his amazing group of student/athletes for sharing these videos with MileSplitCA.

With that, we invite you to Hang with ... Santa Margarita:

  • 800 Crew - A group of varsity mid-distance runners document a recovery training run.

  • Distance Time lapse: Kendall Saeger and Matthew Dato-On finish their distance run and hit some grass strides at the local park.

  • Kendall Workspace: Junior captain Kendall Saeger shows us around her new "classroom" on day 1 of online instruction.

  • Morris Sisters: Senior captain Sophia Morris and sister Alexa talk about the importance of social distancing and how they do it while on a run.

  • Virtual Lunch: A group of Eagle athletes find a way to skype and have a "virtual lunch" together on day 1 of online instruction.
