5. Thousand Oaks (SS) - Working to tighten back end behind senior star Michael Mireles.
8. Ridgeview (CS) - Division III State champions in 2018 move up to challenge in deep division.
9. Vista Del Lago (SJ) - Ran second tightest 1-5 split (0:24) among 42 teams at Capital Cross.
10. Redlands East Valley (SS) - Strong up front with Matt Casillas and Simon Opsahl.

GIRLS
1. Vista Del Lago (SJ) - Three scorers back from D-III State title plus impressive newcomer Alexandra Klos.
2. St. Francis, Sacramento (SJ) - Seven points better than Newbury Park on 3-mile Woodbridge course but needs to tighten 4-5.
3. Newbury Park (SS) - Panthers girls looking strong behind Fiona Hawkins and Archana Mohandas.
4. Claremont (SS) - Defending State D-II champs building back end behind soph Maddie Coles, junior Angie Gushue and senior Azalea Segura-Mora.
5. Anaheim Canyon (SS) - Young team was seventh at State with six of seven back led by super-soph Emma Hadley.
6. El Toro (SS) - No. 4 D-II team at Woodbridge with tighter 1-5 split (:48) than St. Francis and Canyon.
7. Serrano (SS) - Fourth at State in '18 with four of five scorers back, led by senior Maribel Aguilar and soph Tiani Goeson.
8. Rio Americano (SJ) - Ran a close second to St. Francis at Capital Cross and won by 114 points in its race at Woodbridge.
9. Whitney (SJ) - Solid third at Capital Cross led by soph Grace Lathrop.
10. Poway (SD) - Trio of Eva Rethmeier, Sophia Chittle, Mackenzie Rogers leads Titans.
