Oakland Tech has been the power in the Oakland Section girls race for the past few seasons, but this could be the year that Skyline gets back to the top of the mountain. They have the top returning individual runner in the section in Eleanor Wikstrom, and the Titans seemed to draw dead even with their section rivals during track season. Depth is the main concern here: Skyline is better up front (Greta Glueck was the second-best 3200 runner in the section, behind Wikstrom), but they need to improve at the 4-5-6-7 spots to get over the hump. This is far from a done deal, but it's also the closest the two teams have been in a couple of years, which should make for an interesting season.
